With the advent of smartphones, a budding field of apps has also developed. Apps are basically self-contained programs which are used to enhance the existing functionality of our phones. In fact, mobile apps can be considered as a step ahead over the integrated software systems which are found on personal computers.
Apps can be generally divided into three separate categories
1.) Web App
2.) Native App
3.) Hybrid App
This has been developed to be used on a particular platform or device. This kind of app will be native to a particular operating system like iOS, Blackberry or Android. This kind of app will not work on multiple operating systems.
This type of app will always have cross platform user compatibility. It is also able to access the hardware of any phone.
The web app is stored on a remote server and is delivered through the internet. Web apps are run through a browser which is written in HTML5. In contrast, mobile web apps is a software which puts to use technology as JavaScript and HTML5 for providing interaction and navigation. These apps have the ability to run within a mobile device’s web browser.
Apps have indeed revolutionized the budding world of smartphones in the real sense.
