Does celebrity means intelligent people?

How we treat intelligence is completely based on a person's outlook. Nevertheless, there are numerous thing to consider first before tagging a person as Intelligent. But is it necessary that people who are famous should be considered as intelligent individuals? More precisely, being a celebrity in any field- Sports, Drama, Literature means that he/she has higher I.Q? Let's get involved in the topic and find out.

Celebrities are individuals having an immense popularity. But this does not necessarily mean that the individuals are intelligent persons. But on the other hand, it also does not point out to the fact that they are dumb. Pre-assumption on any of the aspects is totally biased. Celebrities are made by media and people. They are born because of the overwhelming public attention they get during their span of the career. Several celebrities in various fields are highly educated individuals. They have outstanding traits in several fields. To name a few celebrities on the list:

NATALIE PORTMAN: An actress and also a producer of dual citizenship of America and Israel, she is a graduate of Syosset High School in Syosset. She is also a ballet dancer and learned modern dance at American Theater Of Dance. At one point she even skipped the premiere of Star Wars to study for her final exams. Then again she is a graduate in psychology from Howard University. Now that is a recognizable university and that proves she is really smart. Later she even had some research done on several scientific publications. She is a notable actress and owns an Oscar. That's both intelligence and fame having a perfect blend.

SHAHRUKH KHAN: A well-known personality of Indian Origin, he is considered as world's greatest movie star and featuring in India's most influential people’s list, Shahrukh Khan(named as SRK) is also a qualified and highly intelligent socialized person. Known for his witty answers to several awkward questions asked by media personnel, he has a Bachelor's Degree from Hansraj College in New Delhi in Economics. Then even he was pursuing Masters in Mass Communication before entering the Bollywood Industry. During his school days, SRK was a student of St.Columba School in New Delhi and was awarded the school's' highest award, The Sword Of Honour because of the fact that he excelled in Studies, Drama and Sports. Considered by the media itself as an actor with brains, SRK is truly knowledgeable and intelligent celebrity among severals.

JODIE FOSTER: An American Actor, Director and Producer, Jodie is an outstanding actress who occupied fame in the early 90s. Foster is equally intelligent and is referred by the media as an all rounder. An Academy Award winner along with various other nominations, Foster managed to learn to read and write at the age of three. She attended French-language preparation school in early days of her life at a school in Los Angeles. Even being quite successful in her movie career Jodie had attended Yale University in Connecticut. Thus proving her intelligence in academics. She even excelled in literature, writing the thesis on several topics. She was also awarded an Honorary Doctor Of Fine Arts degree from Yale University in 1997.

Although these are few names on the list, it is quite possible that some celebrities have not even cleared matriculation. But that does not prove their inefficiency of being intelligent. As said before being a celebrity does not necessarily mean that he/she is intelligent but it does not even point out to the fact that he/she is dumb. It completely depends on the individual’s character. Several things are even noticed or considered while tagging a person as intelligent.

FLUENCY IN VARIOUS LANGUAGE: Having a fluent tongue in non-native language clearly state that a person is knowledgeable and intelligent. Few Celebs have this characteristic which makes them respond to unusual queries raised by the media personnel.

OUTSTANDING CAREER IN MULTIPLE FIELDS: Some celebs have achieved enormous success in fields other than entertainment. This characteristic substitutes them as a great scholar with varied traits in different fields. And even this requires a lot of brain and patience to achieve -an all-rounder status in various fields.

WITTY BRAIN- Answering to several questions raised on unusual topics by media is quite a challenge. Having the audacity to answer these questions flawlessly is difficult. Celebrities having these traits are usually considered intelligent.

The above said facts holds for certain celebrities and not all. There are even celebrities who are so dumb that they can't even tell the number of days a leap year consists of. But that does not change the fact that intelligent celebrities exist. But it does not even necessarily mean that a celebrity is inborn intelligent. As it is said, to get a tag you have to earn it.So intelligence is a tag that has to be earned by reputation.
