Do these products really benefit a person? It would be difficult to argue against or in favor of them. On the one hand, these products seem to harm the population. A study published in The New England Journal of Medicine found that supplements used for boosting physical fitness have adverse effects. The study found that the supplements were responsible for an average of about 23,000 emergency department visits per year. Weight loss products affected women while men were affected by products for sexual enhancement and bodybuilding. Energy-boosting products made up 10 percent of the emergency visits.


The products are available without medical prescriptions, and people misuse these products. Most of the products have side effects, and they are advised to be taken as a complimentary method to boost fitness, but people take extra dosage to get results faster. These products are sold with the tag “herbal” which is perceived to be safe by a large chunk of the population. All these products have some amount of chemicals in them, and they should not be taken without consulting from a physician or an expert trainer.

Fitness products like gym equipment have positive effects on the body. A person who works hard using these equipment builds a strong muscular body. However, this approach to fitness will take a long time, but it is the safest if practiced under trainer’s supervision. Human bodies are complex, and it cannot be known what nerve travels where and which muscle is responsible for what function unless a person has studied it deeply. An amateur cannot use gym equipment or the supplements without a full knowledge of its features and properties respectively. It is essential to take advice from a trainer and train under their vigilance for some time. One muscle pull can be disastrous as it could also lead to paralysis. Usage of these products in the correct way have given a lot of shining stars, and a lot of people lead healthy lives. A huge proportion of people have benefitted from these products because they took them in the right measurement and worked hard along with consuming them.

The industry of fitness is growing rapidly as the people are declining towards the fitness products much these days. The health and fitness industry has so many flaws though, but is still working. If you really endurance and fitness of the body, you need to work it out by your own diet and potential. Obviously body needs different proportion of food everyday and that is almost impossible to do with the regular diet as it takes time to make the desired look of the body. People focus on the look of the body more these days rather than how it is from inside. This is also a lie that you need to work out on daily basis in order to see the results. When you workout, your metabolism is increased and then your body lose calories for the next 36 hours. Therefore, even if you are watching TV, your body is in the process of losing weight. So it is a myth that you need to work out daily after having the products of the fitness. You can lose weight and become fit buy handling your diet with exercising. Therefore, I personally don’t believe in the in taking of fitness product.
