Corporal punishment should be abolished

Corporal punishment is the punishment given to students at the school for the minor acts of indiscipline or misbehavior by them. It’s very rude on the part of the teachers who give such punishments to students just because they have not completed the homework or have created indiscipline in class. Teachers punish students just because the other child does not follow the same pattern and maintains decency.

The school is a temple for students where they go regularly and gain knowledge through their “guru’s” their teachers. A school is a place where students learn and grow, not being humiliated in front of all. The schools where the corporal punishment is allowed does not remain schools ever instead become prison and student becomes the prisoner. These days we often hear on the news the harsh punishments given by a teacher which even lead to his or her death. 

The school is rather a place here a student feels safe but due to this, they might even don’t want to get admitted in schools and find it better to remain safe with their parents in a home. Students are even beaten like if as they are animals, in schools. The government is needed to take strict actions against it because this issue is spreading like a disease everywhere. Now and then we come to know such incidents of corporal punishments in schools which must be stopped immediately.

Fear curtails in the mind of children and they stop going to schools because of the simple reason their teacher will punish for what so ever reason. It has often been seen that apart from physical injury being given to a student, the mental pressure, the embarrassment which they go through is far more dangerous than it. Once a young mind is affected due to some bad thing, it will remain there forever. Young children do not easily forget things and at a young age, they are stricken by depression leading to their mental as well as physical loss. 

Also, it has a crippling effect on their personality and they may even lose their confidence to face the people. It also results in children losing hope in their lives. Once his mind is affected, such a person can never be able to contribute positivity to the society. Teachers need to take special care of every child whom they teach in school because they are responsible for them. Teachers are like gurus and what if the gurus only becomes a devil. All a child needs are love and care. Apart from homes, schools are the second homes to children and should be treated like one in their homes.

There is, therefore, an urgent need to ban corporal punishment for which if required laws should be made too. This is a bad thing and should be taken strict actions against it. Corporal punishment is a crime.
