True caller which is the leading communication app will be tying up with Google to integrate Google’s app Duo with the True caller app. The agreement to this effect was signed on 27th March and the True caller integration with Google Duo will be available for Android and iOS. This will ideally be a permission-based service and users will be able to opt out from the service, if and when desired.
Amit Fulay, the Head of Duo at Google said that he believed that video calling should be available for every user and they aim to make video calling simple and faster so that it becomes available to everyone.
With this integration in place, Google hopes to bring enhanced video calling experience for everyone. True caller with this integration in place has also announced that they will be going in for complete redesigning of the Android app. The app will now have a range of features like SMS filters, Flash messaging and True caller pay.
True Caller is now partnering with a range of other developers including Airtel to launch Airtel True caller ID. This will enable Airtel users to recognize unknown numbers. The users will get Flash SMS which will help them identify new numbers.
