Why is it considered a taboo to Kiss on lips in public?

Kissing in public is one hell of serious concern faced by couples in India. This is mainly because of certain traditions that originate from the land of divine cultures. No doubt India is respected in terms of Divinity and serenity but on the other side cases such as kissing in public being considered taboo also hampers a lot.

Most likely Indian people feel that discussing sex is terrible and abhorrent. This leads to the concept that kissing is also a major issue that too in public. They imply that talking sex or performing sensual thing like a kiss in public will degenerate the personality. Perhaps this is the thing that they need to state.

Indians even surmise that every English movie is just about having intercourse and kissing each other.
