As we grow up, we all tend to develop a perspective towards life which stems from our own life experiences and the kind of conditioning we have received from our parents and people in our life. This is what makes us the kind of person we grow up to be. Some people grow up to become very serious in life as they are taught since childhood to set their goals, work hard and stay focused. While such an approach is definitely required to do well in life, one should also understand the importance of enjoying life and loosen up.

Sometimes, we let life and circumstances decide how we are going to live our life and behave in various life circumstances we come across. It is important for us to analyze how we are reacting to the life events because at times our life experiences impact us in ways that we get lost in the rut of everyday life and forget the track of where we really had to go. Sometimes, our plate is so full, and we try so hard to accomplish things that we feel will make us proud and happy, that we start taking life very seriously.  We forget to make the most of the small moments that can make us really happy.

What many of us forget is that though it is important to take action towards our goals and live a productive life, it is also important to have enough time for play and enjoy the incredible events and moments that life offers us. If all you are doing is looking at the negatives in life and taking constant actions without giving a thought to the way all of this is making you feel, you miss out making the most of life and the beautiful feelings you can experience.

Only if you loosen up a bit, you can give way to the happiness in your life and not let the negativities impact the course of action of your life. Feelings of anxiety, stress, worry, and doubt make it impossible for us to move ahead in life. They stop us from enjoying the good experiences that come our way and disturbs our state of relaxation. If you are someone who cannot help but worry and just cannot seem to take things easy in life, its time you give a thought to your approach towards life. Here are some tips that can help you to loosen up and enjoy life to the fullest.

#1. You Need A Paradigm Shift

A paradigm is the pattern of thinking, the kind of beliefs you tend to have about life, the things you choose to do, be and have in life. It is very important for us to make sure that we have a set of positive beliefs and our pattern of thoughts are such that they help us to make the best version of our life. If your paradigm is such that you continuously think about how much efforts are you making for a better life, what progress you are making financially, how much profit you are making by all your projects, then you are really living a life devoid of joy and happiness? If you are someone who is fearful about all that you wish to do and cannot stand up for your own dreams, you are restricting yourself. If you are limiting yourself in any way, then you need to change the way you think and adopt a set of thoughts that are more liberating, that make you feel good about life and that can let you live life and take decisions that can keep you happy.

#2. How Busy Are You?

Look at your life, analyze all the things you are doing and the time they are occupying in your schedule. This will help you to evaluate how much time you are spending on doing things that can help you to live the best version of your life. You will also be able to see how much time you spend worrying and thinking about all that can go wrong in life and then take precautions in advance that later prove futile. Make sure that your life is full of activities that enrich it and leave less room for worry. Spending your precious time on negative thoughts will do nothing but bog you down and make yourself question your self-esteem. Keep yourself busy with positive thoughts. Linger your life with positive energy and take out some time for fun activities and recreation. 

#3. Let Go Of The Past

Letting go of the past is very important when it comes to making positive life changes and living the most at the moment. One can never enjoy life if one has not bridged the differences that existed in the past. What is gone is gone. It is not going to come back. Learn from your mistakes, take lessons and move ahead. Always keep your head in the forward direction. If your past was bitter, the memories would also be sour. Do not let them seize your current happiness. Clinging to the past makes it impossible for us to make the most of the present moment. Most of the people who find it difficult to make the most of their lives and enjoy are those who dwell in the past. Irrespective of how dull the present looks, you have the ability to make the best of it.  You can make it as much fun as possible, all you have to do is be willing to do that. When you let go of the past and relax and trust in all that you have now, you can begin to transform yourself and your life into the way you wish to see it.

#4. Look At The Long-Term Results

Sometimes, you are so focused on all that is in the present and the immediate future that you cannot look at what meaning you are going to attach to it a few years from now. We tend to devote a lot of time and energy to people and events that are not really going to impact our lives in any way. Evaluate all the situations in your life and the people that surround you and look in terms of future, if they are going to add any value to your life, in any way. Invest your time and energy only on all that you feel can make you happy, the activities and people that have the potential to create memories of a lifetime.

#5. Focus On The Feeling First

The best thing that will aid you in the process of moving from being someone who is super serious to someone who can enjoy every moment of your life is focusing on the feeling rather than the material gains of life. The moment you work towards feeling good and alive, you will be able to make decisions and choices that can help you to enjoy life more than you ever did.
