As winter sets in we all have the tendency of spending more time under the quilt.
The body becomes less active due to the chill and weight gain is an inevitable result. We all crave to maintain a trim figure throughout our lives but are a victim of laziness at times. The food we take therefore can be used as the best way to cut out the unwanted fat from our body.
Start your day with a warm glass of lemon water mixed with a teaspoon of honey. The honey removes the craving for sugar while the lemon increases our level of vitamin C as well as behaves like an antioxidant. A few almonds and a cup of green tea can follow as a starter to bring in the inertia of an active day. I also nibble some digestive biscuits with a cup of tea as I know it won't increase my weight.
The tendency to avoid water is too much in winter. To supplement this we can have some hot drink like a chocolate shake along with milk. This would make us feel filled up for quite sometimes and also maintain the fluid content of our body, but then water cannot be avoided.
We have to take water and so can take luke warm water or water at room temperature. A light breakfast of vegetable sandwich along with some fruit or vegetable juice like carrot juice can be another option.
All the vegetables that are available during winter can help us maintain a standard weight. It's very important to balance diet. Each meal should have all the nutrients like protein, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins. Including a sumptuous amount of leafy vegetable and also fruits like apples, grapes and oranges which would provide all the minerals and vitamins, A, B and C, to keep us safe from cold as well give us a glowing skin.
A well-balanced meal of rice, wheat, vegetable and fruits that are available during the winter can help loose weight along with an active life.
