What personality trait is the most important for inner beauty?

“Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.” – Khalil Gibran

Life may have unexpected twists in everything, what counts is who you really are and not who you have made yourself be. If a fruit is so pretty on the outside but is rotten inside, then who will savor it? Likewise, inner beauty reflects in the real you, which is in being compassionate and loving. Well, not the whole package but more or less the same.

There are many personality traits required for inner beauty. Some of them are calm, caring, cheerful, energetic, faithful, friendly, fun-loving, generous, gracious, innovative, modest, prudent, stoic, wise, upright and uncomplaining. Nobody can have everything and be perfect, as everyone has different traits. But one can always improve on it.

The most significant character one needs to develop is being benign and cheerful. These are the basic aspects required for inner beauty. All the other traits will fall under it. To transform the world, the change needs to be within, right?

Jim Morrison, the American singer says, “The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first.”

Yeah, he is absolutely right in saying that the real freedom is in being who you really are. Rather than trying to be someone else, so that you could fit in, you can always be the genuine you and be chirpy. Otherwise, life would be tough when you live in a lie.

Cultivating kindness and truth can make you a better person. If something is amiss around you, you should not complain, but should take it in a fun manner. Worrying and being cranky would only elevate your pain. If someone says something wrong about you, taking it to heart would leave you in tears. But if one doesn’t mind what other people say about you then you will be the happiest person ever.

An optimistic view of life would escalate your inner beauty. Brain Tracy in his book, “Maximum Achievement” says, “Positive expectations are the mark of the superior personality.” Therefore, in whatever you do be vivacious and have a positive visage rather than a droopy one. Trace your inner beauty in what people say about you, that is, positive comments and try to mend the negativity in you. This will be a lot helpful than doing every single thing in life with an uninterested look.

Creativity should flow from you and reach others so that they may be inspired. The way you move should sway people and that will all integrate into bringing a gargantuan change in your inner beauty.

If you see kids, they are drawn towards people who are filled with fun, thus being merry and joyous in life will augment your inner beauty. Life will have umpteen vignettes and most of it may come under gleeful and woeful ones. But even in an unhappy situation, being delightful and kind would increase your awesomeness level.

A captivating life will leave a legend for the times to come. Thus, you better be arrayed in inner beauty with a benign and cheerful trait. It will enhance your personality and make you a better person.
