We all love popcorns, it is the favorite snack that comes to our mind when we are sitting down for a movie or in the mood for some light tasty food that we can binge eat. The fluffy, salty, buttery, corn is simply irresistible; not just for humans but their fur friends as well.
Dogs too love popcorn and if you own a dog, you know how hard it is to say no to such an adorable face. Why would you want to feed your dog popcorns if you are aware of the dangers it poses to your little furry friend's health?
Our favorite snack that we can’t simply get enough of are popcorns and two major ingredients that make them so delicious are salt and butter. There is no shred of doubt that popcorns are simply very tasty but they are neither very good for humans nor are they really good for their canine partners.

The fatty butter which makes the fluffy corns melt in your mouth is packed with tons of calories. It can cause intestinal problems and even obesity if they are given to dogs too much or if you are in the habit of letting them nibble on a few on a regular basis.
The most dangerous part of giving your dog popcorn is the popcorn kernels. These can destroy your dog's teeth. The dog can even accidentally crack their teeth on a popcorn kernel which would be really harmful to him. The animals need their teeth to chew food and it is useful for him to protect himself. Loss of teeth would not only be painful but deprive him of self-protection. Dogs can also accidentally choke on popcorn kernels which are again fatal for them. So if you are wondering if dogs can eat popcorn seed then the answer is a big no.

Shrimp in itself is not good for dogs as it is loaded with bacteria and can cause toxicity in the animal. The mix of popcorn and shrimp is not a good idea for your pet and should be avoided.

Occasionally feeding popcorns to your dog is not all that bad provided they are not salty, buttery or have any kernels in them. They do after all contain some fiber and mineral, but your pet would get them from its regular meal anyways.
It is good to be careful about what you feed your pet and now that you know popcorns aren't always such a good option, it is advisable that you know about tomatoes and apples as well.
