Have you ever fallen in love?

‘Have you ever fallen in love?’ a million dollars question, so much so, that each one of us would like to say ‘yes’ in the answer. And if you are really fortunate enough then do not take time, express it before it is too late. Age, time, place, and differences created by man in a socialized world do not matter. When love has to show its true colors it awaits none, only the ingredient of love, i.e., the lover and the loved one have to be aware of it.

God has created this world with love and for love but human beings have build walls of caste, creed, nation, language, and so on, to command the freedom of men and thereby safeguard the rights of others in the society and maintain peace. The pleasure in commanding other men has fascinated him and has made him the ruler and generated the community of the ruled. This has put an end to the emotion of love in his heart. But once it is under the control of love, things change, the true meaning of life is realized and life becomes meaningful.

Once in love, everything around us looks pretty and full of life. Life seems possible, gives meaning, having an aim and one is ready to face the world on any grounds whatsoever. The heart becomes aware of the emotions of others. No lessons of mankind are left on this earth to be learned; as Kabir sings,

‘Pothi padh-padh jug muda pandit bhaya na koy,

Dhai akhar prem ka padhe so pandit hoy’

(translation-'Bundles of books cannot make you a scholar, just realize the meaning of love and you gain knowledge')

It is very important to know the other person’s feeling towards you. A half realized love is a dangerous thing. But it has its own charm though sorrow is there. Love makes you humble and kind. Love makes you accept weaknesses and give sacrifices. But be careful it makes you blind too which can harm you sometimes.

Accept the person as he/she comes to you and then you can mold him/her as you wish (a mistake that we humans always commit). Learn to accept things in their true nature, if you are changing them that means you are enslaving them to your needs. It is very necessary to keep in mind that the other person has also accepted you with your weaknesses. Let each other enjoy his/her space. God has made you different, let the differences exist. ‘Unlike poles attract each other’.

Whenever there is a clash or quarrel, which is but obvious, resolve it inside the room. Don’t announce it to the world because the world is nothing to you. You two make  the world to each other. Express yourself. Live all possible moments in love as they are not too many. Let your love sustain, once it is lost it is lost forever. It never returns. If it returns at all, it is not the one with which you had begun your journey of life.
