11 Times When Married People Wish They Were Still Single

The married v/s single debate is a never ending one. While both have their own pros and cons, marriage is much bigger a deal than singlehood. Commitment is after all not that sunny a concept.

Here is a list of some basic issues which may pop up during a marriage and get you into your single life nostalgia:-

#1. Me time
There are times when you are in a desperate need of some ‘me’ time. You simply require a day or maybe an entire week off just to catch up on your favorite activities or binge watch that intriguing series. Unfortunately, marriage leaves a little less scope for that time you could use to pamper yourselves.

#2. Stress
Believe it or not, marriage may aggravate your stress level at times. Whether it is a fight or a work- relationship juggle, you will end up in turmoil. Relationship troubles end up consuming a large amount of your time and energy. To add on, you might find it hard to focus anywhere else when your relationship is at a turbulent stage.

#3. The same old faces
A possibility of getting sick of living with your partner may come up at any time during a relationship, and that is when the mood swing game will begin. You might need a company of different people to freshen you up.

#4. Food choices
Something as basic as food may bring in the nostalgia of your single days. It becomes nearly impossible to survive when your food choices and habits do not match with your partner. If you are a messy binge eater, chances are that you are not yourself in front of your sophisticated partner and start missing those good old days.

#5. Shared annoyance
For people who are not used to sharing their rooms, living with your partner might look like a herculean task. Not being able to roll over your entire bed, or not finding your stuff exactly where you left it, may make you go down the memory lane of your single days.

#6. Fidelity frailty
Someone who used to find themselves a new crush every week, may find fidelity and monogamy challenging. It a highly erroneous belief that you are not attracted to others after getting married. For singles, it is not a matter of moral transgression to go out with different people.

#7. Guilty Hangouts
You often feel guilty when you go out for that night out, while your partner is at home. While you may be physically present with your friends, your mind is still somewhere near that couch in your hall. Not having someone to worry about is a major perk of being single.

#8. Financial freedom
While you were single, you used to rule over your money, even if it was not a significant figure. Acing those broke days was any day more thrilling than the financially planned married life. Having to consider your partner’s vote in your financial decisions may give you a cringe. Moreover, you're spending doubles when you are married.

9. The adulting epiphany
The epiphany of being a grown up might give you a mini heart attack. Especially when you look at your text messages turning from dirty jokes to a list of stuff you need from the grocery stores. The mere thought of becoming exactly like your parents may make you run crying to your singlehood.
