Isn’t it the most magical moment when the person you are crushing on, responds to you and takes notice of you? While the feeling may be out of the world, it if often coupled with embarrassing and awkward situations that may want you to cringe in bed, thinking ‘why did it have to happen!’.
As a special post to all those lovers who were victims of their stupidity and sudden stammering before their crushes, here are some epic moments of awkwardness that you must have witnessed before the person you liked and made a buffoon out of yourself:
#1. When Words Abandon You!
It has undoubtedly happened to all when the person you are obsessing about takes you by surprise by engaging in a conversation. The moment of happiness cripples you the extent that you feel paralyzed like your vocal chords do not exist. And if by chance, they do exist, your vocabulary reduces to a bare minimum, leading to the feeling that you’re imbecile.
#2. When Friends Unleash An Intense Stare-Game
Even if your crush doesn’t know that you are obsessing over them, your friends are there to ensure they get a hint. From intense stare games between you and your friends as you stand by the person you like to their gestures as your crush passes by, are sufficient for the other person to know that you have an inclination towards them. And by God, the feeling when you know your crush knows you like him leaves you mortified!
#3. When Actions Speak Louder Than Words
How many times have you felt like a total weirdo for doing certain actions before your crush that made no sense? From waving out to them with sheer excitement to acting all cool before them, every person has played out some form of action to draw the attention of the one they adore. While those actions would draw the attention towards you, it cannot be ascertained if it is for good!
#4. When You Try To Act Cool, But Tragedy Strikes You!
The rule says one must act cool before their loved ones. This compels them to know more about you! But is that true in all cases? Hasn’t it ever happened to you that in an attempt to act cool before your crush, you invited trouble for yourself? Let’s spare a minute to remember all those moments when in your bid to act cool, you fell prey to the random scolding from teachers, the accidents on the road, the mishaps and the tragedies taken place before them.
#5. When Body Blows Out Emotions
The list of awkward moments does not end till one mentions the incident regarding those uncontrollable burps and farts during date nights. While they may be natural to the body, they are probably the most embarrassing moments spent before the person you love, as you fear they are judging you. Imagine, you are engaging in a passionate conversation with the person you fancy and suddenly 'the bomb' drops, polluting the air around. Now, that's not how you imagined the night to be, and the occurrence of the same would make you cringe.
#6. When Your Crush Asks You Who You Like
‘Like seriously? Have you not been noticing the absurd manner in which I am behaving before you? Is it not obvious yet?’ is one of the most common reactions one gets when the person they adore asks them who they like. Although these responses are not spelled out verbally, the awkward moment that envelopes around the two when this question is surfaced, is probably the weirdest one anyone has to face.
#7. When You Stalk Them On Social Media Platforms
While it is natural to go through the old pictures of the one you fancy, horror strikes when you accidentally hit the like button, sending a direct notification to your crush. That’s when it gets a little creepy and sends a wrong message indicating that you may be stalking their profile.
