Home Remedies for Hiccups

Hiccups are a reaction to digestive disturbances. 

Some of the causes of hiccups are eating or swallowing too quickly, eating spicy or fatty foods etc. Abdominal surgery or strokes also may cause hiccups. Hiccups usually gets solved in a short time. Both males and females tend to suffer from hiccups. 

Here are some home remedies for hiccups -

  1. Drink one glass of cold water. You can also gargle with cold water for a minute.
  2. Holding the breath can stop hiccups. Hold your breath till you count five and drink some water.
  3. Take a teaspoon of vinegar or apple  cider vinegar. Add it to a glass of water and drink.
  4. Taking deep breathe can stop hiccups.
  5. Drinking water is beneficial.
  6. Eating a teaspoon of peanut butter is quick and effective.
  7. Sucking a teaspoon of sugar will stop hiccups. Keep it for a minute in your mouth. Wait till it dissolves. Do not chew. Take a sip of water now.
  8. Eating a bowl of curd with little  salt is beneficial.
  9. Suck a small piece of ginger.
  10. Consume honey in a glass of warm water. Honey is known as cough soother.
  11. Drink a glass of cocoa.
  12. Chew a tablespoon of dill seeds.
  13. Place a thin layer of paper napkin on your glass and drink water through it. You can also press a paper around your mouth and breathe slowly for a few times.

Yes, there are lots of Easy and Natural remedy for hiccups :-

1. Drink cold water in a plenty amount 

2. Hold your breath for a while.

3. Have some sugar, vinega, peanut butteror honey.

4. Drink water by bending ur neck towards the left.
